SPLIT SCREEN MODE
With “Arcade Archives 2 CYBER CYCLES” SPLIT SCREEN MODE, you can choose between 2 or 4 screens for local multiplayer on a single console. For Nintendo Switch 2, you can also play in “TV Mode” or “Tabletop Mode.” Gameplay functions in this mode are the same as in ORIGINAL MODE; however, features like save/load, rewind, screen layout, and display frame settings are unavailable.
SPLIT SCREEN MODE (2 screens)
In SPLIT SCREEN MODE (2 screens), 2 players can play the game together! To play with 2 players, please connect two controllers to the console. The first controller’s display is shown on the left, and the second controller’s display is shown on the right.
SPLIT SCREEN MODE (4 screens)
In SPLIT SCREEN MODE (4 screens), up to 4 players can play the game together! To play with 4 players, please connect four controllers to the console. The first controller’s display is shown in the upper left, the second controller’s display in the upper right, the third controller’s display in the lower left, and the fourth controller’s display in the lower right.
How to Start Local Multiplayer
Each player can join the game by pressing the “Add Credits” button, then selecting a course with the “View-Change” button. Once all players have added credits and selected a course, the local multiplayer game will begin. *In the Japanese version, pressing the “Add Credits” button during the opening demo will bring up the entry screen. Other players can join the game by pressing the “Add Credits” button during the entry period.
Attention
Players who join during the entry period can play together in local multiplayer. However, if no other players join within the time limit, local multiplayer will not begin. Players who do not join a local multiplayer session during the entry period will instead play in single-player mode.
Course Selection
Choose between the BEGINNER course GREEN HILL, and the EXPERT course NEO YOKOHAMA. Press the “View-Change” button to confirm your selection. *The course is selected by player vote. In the event of a tie, BEGINNER course GREEN HILL will be chosen.
Bike and BGM Selection
On the MACHINE SELECT screen, you can choose a bike for the race from three classes: Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced. Select your preferred bike and confirm your choice by pressing the “View-Change” button.
The player who pressed the “Add Credits” button first can also select the BGM on this screen using the “Accelerator” button.
